trauma informed care in spiritual healing

All healing modalities can be transformational, because no frequency, lineage or practice supersedes another. Transformation lies in our own bones, its an action, an alchemisation. When we are in a space that feels safe, we are able to regulate ourselves and find being held by others easier and this builds trust- with them and also trust with ourselves.

The day I found another teacher was the day I found the teacher in me. The day I started rewriting my manuals and flexing up on what I wanted to share with students.

The hardest but most rewarding thing to teach people who work with energy is how to be trauma informed. This is as much about recognising our own trauma responses as well as those of our clients.

Do we lean over and proclaim there body is holding pain from something we "know" or does that story even matter?

Is it ours to name? Do we share it on social media? Do we take photos of people whilst they are experiencing private moments and yse it fir publicity?

Because this is all over IG. Trauma is a massive buzz word, people use it as a slur, or a way to elevate their superiority of awareness, they use it as testimonials, collateral. I mean, I think I've done this too in the past. IG after all is another business strategy.

But, the way I see it and I am glad about this- is-the more trauma informed we are the better soace holders we can be. We can start changing now without giving up anything but providing instead a safer space for people be. Energy can sit anywhere in the body and can reside there from physical injury or emotion.

The story of why is not ours to voice unless the client has expressed it. It is for the client to recognise in themselves. Any healing modality has the capacity to change, unblock or radically heal people-but unsafe spaces, non trauma informed spaces, spaces that don't encourage consent, choice and containership will diminish it all. You can be the best energy healer in the world but if you don't know why people behaviour the way they do- and ground that in a grounded awareness then how can it be safe? Compassion arises not in diagnosis or labels but in the understanding the complex needs, physiology of other human beings.
